New York Flute Club Joan Tower Program

Back in January, I was thrilled to moderate a New York Flute Club online program about Joan Tower’s flute music. Tower talked about her decades of collaboration with flutists and was joined by Patricia Spencer and Carol Wincenc, two important collaborators who have worked with her on numerous pieces.

The program features performances of four of her works: Petroushskates (Patricia Spencer and Da Capo Chamber Players, including Tower on the piano!), Hexachords (Lisa Bost-Sandberg), Concerto for Flute (Carol Wincenc), and Rising (Carol Wincenc and the Escher Quartet).
