Carnegie Hall Film Premiere of Julia's Wolfe's Oxygen for 12 Flutes

Back in October, I spend the most invigorating and joyful three days in New York City with an amazing crew of flutists. We were brought together to recording Oxygen, a new work for 12 flutes by Julia Wolfe that was commissioned by the National Flute Association.

Wolfe is Carnegie Hall’s current Composer’s Chair, and they shared: “Julia Wolfe’s residency as the 2021–2022 Debs Composer’s Chair kicks off online with the film premiere of Oxygen, a rapid-fire composition for 12 flutes. Written during the pandemic and filmed in October 2021, Oxygen features an all-star cast of flutists coming together to collaborate after more than a year of artistic isolation.”

It was amazing to get to see the final result, and I hope that you enjoy it!
